We are seeking a skilled Fibre Splicer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced fibre splicer to join and support our team with NBN Co and Telstra activation and service assurance experience. We are after a self-motivated, safety-first team member who can also work independently to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Key responsibilities:

Work with NBN Co and Telstra optic fibre infrastructure, including installation of communications racks, joints/enclosures, cutover live network, testing and commissioning optic fibre cables

Troubleshoot and resolve fibre optic network issues promptly and effectively.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outstanding customer service

Conduct site audits to ensure the quality of work completed meets client expectations

Complete other general site related duties as required

Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices.

About You

As a Fibre Splicer at HPA, you will play a critical role in installing, splicing, and maintaining fibre optic networks. Your expertise will help ensure our clients receive reliable and high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience on both NBN Co and Telstra networks and a strong understanding of fibre optic technologies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Fibre Splicer with live cut-over experience

Proficiency in fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and troubleshooting techniques.

Strong understanding of fibre cable types, connectors, racks and splice enclosures.

Ability to read, interpret and comprehend plans, scope of work and technical specifications

Relevant certifications (Cert III Telecommunications, Open Cable License with fibre endorsements, etc.)

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
