About The Company:

C2 Robotics is a national leader in the development of solutions for robotics and autonomous systems, with a key focus on innovation, rapid concept development and iterative prototype fielding. Our development projects focus on Defence, aerospace and marine autonomous systems. C2 Robotics has a range of innovative development contracts with Defence customers across all branches of land, maritime and air domains, the centrepiece of which is the “Speartooth” large autonomous underwater vessel.

The C2 Robotics team is comprised of a dedicated, engaged and enthusiastic group of industry professionals. Our work environment is highly collaborative across engineering disciplines. Our company vision is to drive major step changes in robotics and automation in meaningful, impactful areas.

The company head office is based in the Northern Melbourne suburb of Tullamarine, with easy access from Tullamarine, Calder and M80 ring road, as well as cycle paths. Our modern facility includes design offices as well as a large manufacturing space for hardware and prototype development and assembly.

Our leadership group understands that in innovation development, enhancing creativity is key to productivity. As a result simply working more hours is not effective or productive. We strongly nurture a culture of empowerment and self-sufficiency, but with strong mentorship and leadership guidance. Work life balance, team cohesion and collaboration is heavily promoted.

About The Role:

This is a hands on, fast paced role, suited to those who are at home establishing and maintaining a well organised and efficient workshop and store.

Your role is to maintain, organise, and make ready the complement of equipment and supplies that are the cornerstone of making the test event a success.

You will contribute to the efficient running of the engineering workshop by ensuring consumables/fasteners are restocked and by maintaining a tidy environment. You will support the Safety Officer with compliance of WHS guidelines, establish and maintain calibration schedules, and take a proactive stance to safety and efficiency.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with others, as the role interacts with most other business units. You will be a cornerstone of the operational efforts of the company. It is imperative that the equipment is ready, in excellent working order, and available as required by the team.

You’ll be comfortable and competent around water and watercraft. The holder of a marine licence or Coxswain C3 would be a great advantage
