Glamorama is on the hunt for a driven and dynamic General Manager. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in the nightclub industry—with weekday hours—overseeing all operational, financial, and strategic aspects of one of Melbourne’s most established venues.

Located in the heart of Fitzroy, Glamorama has been a staple of Melbourne’s nightlife for almost 10 years. We are a fast-paced, late-night venue that trades every Friday and Saturday night, as well as regular day parties and special events. We’re renowned for our world-class sound and lighting systems, delivering an unforgettable club experience.

About the Role:

This is a growth-focused leadership role where success is measured through key performance metrics. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, working closely with the Marketing Team, Venue Manager, and Directors to ensure smooth running, continual improvement, and financial success.

This is a Full-Time Role, primarily between the hours of Monday to Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM, with some weekend work required during the onboarding period to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee venue operations, financial performance and compliance

Conduct data analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability

Manage budgets and cost-saving initiatives

Lead and support team performance, including rostering, payroll oversight, and staff development

Collaborate with the marketing team to manage and oversee all events and social media activities

Maintain high standards in venue presentation, maintenance, and customer experience

Liaise with subcontractors and ensure all risk management and safety procedures are in place

Deliver regular reports to Directors and attend weekly management meetings

Proven experience in venue or hospitality management

Strong understanding of business metrics, data interpretation, and financial oversight

Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills

Ability to work independently while aligning with the broader strategic vision
