We are looking for a strong leader to join our Emergency Communications Centre (ECC) in Darwin, as an ECC Supervisor. An ECC Supervisor is responsible for the provision of operational leadership and supervision to Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs) and has ‘on shift’ responsibility for operations of the ECC. The ECC Supervisor ensures the ECC the is adequately resourced and equipped to meet service needs and oversees the effective and efficient receipt and management of requests for service. This position works collaboratively with the Clinical Deployment Supervisor (CDS) and the Duty Manager Operations (DM) to ensure coordination of ambulance resources is in accordance with operational goals and objectives. • You are an exceptional communicator with high level interpersonal and organisational skills.
• You have a proven track record of team-leading and staff management.
• You have experience in co-ordination of ambulance resources.
• You have the ability to provide advice to Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs) during complex or difficult requests for service or allocation of ambulance resources.
• You have the ability to collate and interpret reports and statistical data and develop policies and procedures appropriate to the work area.
• You are able to work a rotating 24/7 shift work roster, which includes weekends and public holidays.
• Able to multi-task utilising multiple systems.
