Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily transport operations and staff, including scheduling of equipment and driver management and maintenance.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes of practice and various accreditations, including NHVAS and the HVNL as well as workplace health and safety.

Lead, train, and mentor a team of drivers.

Monitor and optimise operational efficiency to improve service delivery and reduce costs.

Develop and implement procedures and KPIs to maintain high standards of safety and performance.

Manage customer relationships, ensuring excellent service and addressing any concerns promptly.

Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives and drive business growth.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a transport operations or logistics management role.

Strong knowledge of road transport legislation and industry best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with transport management systems and scheduling software (TruckMate and MTData experience preferred).

Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

This is a live on site role based at Oakey Depot. House and Company Vehicle will be supplied in the package.
