An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced construction professional to step into a State Manager role within a well-established, high-performing national contractor. Known for delivering large-scale commercial hydraulic projects, this organisation prides itself on quality, safety and innovation.
You’ll lead a team of Project Managers, Site Managers and Project Coordinators, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth. You’ll drive project profitability, client satisfaction, and staff development across the state.
About the Role
- Full ownership of state operations including financial reporting, safety and quality, ensuring the profitability and viability of the Company.
- Assist senior management develop the Company’s long-term vision, strategies, plans objectives and targets.
- Oversee project delivery, procurement, risk management and client relations.
- Inspire and lead high-performing teams, building a positive workplace culture.
- Foster long-term partnerships and deliver exceptional service across commercial plumbing projects.
- Participate in weekly operations team meeting & provide monthly reporting.
- Ensure principal and subcontract administration is contemporaneously maintained.
- Progress claims are prepared and checked according to Company requirements.
About You
- Proven leadership experience within construction (minimum 5 years in Senior PM role).
- Deep knowledge of construction building projects or hydraulic services and commercial contracting.
- Experience in profit and loss, budgets, pricing and an excellent understanding of overall construction processes.
- Ability to deal with pressure, meet deadlines and enjoy challenges.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy (Jobpac/Cost Reporting familiarity preferred).
- A strategic thinker with the ability to drive operational excellence and empower teams.
- High self-esteem, assertiveness, influential, motivated, with empowering communication skills.
- Committed to WHS, quality standards, and exceptional client outcomes.
