Argyle House is Camden’s newest high-end steakhouse, bringing something bold and entirely unique to the table. Set in a beautifully restored heritage building on Argyle Street, we offer an immersive Dome Dining experience—where fire-kissed food, communal dining, storytelling, and the stars collide under an architecturally designed dome.

As we prepare to open our doors, we’re searching for a passionate and experienced Sommelier to join our opening team and lead the wine program, with a special focus on Semillon and premium Australian varietals.

Your Role:

As Sommelier, you’ll play a central role in delivering unforgettable wine experiences that complement our seasonal, ever-evolving menus.

Key Responsibilities:

Curate and manage a premium wine list, showcasing iconic Semillons and local Australian producers.

Deliver engaging tableside service, wine pairings, and storytelling to enhance the Dome Dining experience.

Host tastings, wine dinners, and educational events under the dome.

Work closely with the Head Chef and experience curator to design pairings that match the nightly narrative and communal format.

Oversee stock control, cellar management, and supplier relationships.

Train and inspire front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service.

About You:

Proven experience as a Sommelier in fine dining or high-end hospitality.

Deep knowledge and appreciation of Australian wine—especially Semillon.

WSET Level 2 or higher (or equivalent wine qualification).

Confident communicator with a flair for performance and storytelling.

Strong organisational and leadership skills.

Available full-time, including evenings and weekends.
