About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our vibrant team at Veloce Paninoteca on the Marina Pier.

As a part-time (full-time available to the appropriate candidate) Breakfast Chef, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and at times, independently. You will also be responsible for crafting delicious and visually appealing breakfast dishes that wow our customers and keep them coming back. We also want someone that can show initiative by washing dishes and assist in front of house during quiet periods.

The shifts will be based over a 7 day roster for breakfast and lunch starting from around 7:30-8:00am. Weekend and public holiday work is included.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including hot meals, as well as preparing panini's and croissant's

Ensure consistent high quality and presentation of all menu items

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards

Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a breakfast chef in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant/cafe environment

Strong working knowledge of breakfast ingredients, preparation techniques, and food presentation

Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Passion for creating delicious, high-quality breakfast dishes

Full availability, able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts

Genuine interest in the day to day operations
