The Opportunity:
Join a HR specialist team, providing end-to-end employee relations support to the aged care portfolio, working alongside two other Employee Relations Advisors who are well established within the business. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, on a day-to-day basis you can expect to be:
- Case manage and resolve complex employee relations issues across the entire employee life cycle, including grievance management, investigations, conflict management, attendance at work and cessation of employment;
- Provide industrial and employee relations advice and services to managers and teams;
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions;
- Conduct effective, fit-for-purpose and objective investigations;
- Support the development and execution of an ER program of work, such as Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) strategy;
- Provide advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures and employment legislation; and
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a specialist employee relations role, or as a Human Resources Advisor with strong ER/IR focus;
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Workplace Relations or similar;
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organisation;
- Strong conflict resolution capabilities – this role is likely to involve facilitating discussions around mediation; and
- A current drivers licence is essential, as is a willingness to obtain a Police Check if you are the preferred candidate.
