About the Role As an IR/ER Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on all employee and industrial relations matters across the business. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with industrial instruments and employment legislation while fostering a fair and productive workplace. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing workplace grievances, investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
- Interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements, providing timely and accurate advice
- Acting as the escalation point for complex ER cases, including matters involving union representation
- Delivering ER training to empower managers in effectively handling employee relations matters
- Overseeing compliance aspects, including visa tracking, parental leave, and flexible work requests
About You We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded IR/ER professional who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. You will have:
- A degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in an Employee Relations/Industrial Relations role
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
- Experience handling performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and terminations
- Prior exposure to a unionised workforce, including union negotiations and dispute resolution
