Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic Water Network team. This position is a temporary part time job share arrangement working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 21.75 hours until October 2025.
About this opportunity:
As a Planning and Maintenance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our Water Network team. Your
primary responsibility will involve the management of water meter replacements, new water meter requests and temporary meters. collaborating closely with both indoor and outdoor team members to complete tasks whilst demonstrating your ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively within a team setting. This role also involves generating corrective actions by creating work orders and coordinating their dispatch to team leaders.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Certificate III in Business Administration
- QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or equivalent from another state
- Proven experience in utilising corporate and administrative systems, providing high-level support to management and supervisory personnel
- Strong time management skills, showcasing your ability to organise multiple work commitments and achieve desired objectives
- Proficiency in using computer programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn and become proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other required software
