Job Title: Cyber Security Program Manager
Location: Sydney, Australia
Contract Type: 6 month contract, with view to extend.
About the Company:
A leading Financial Services company are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Program Manager to lead and manage critical cyber security initiatives across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving large-scale security programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and effectively mitigating security risks. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage cyber security programs, ensuring successful execution of projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to drive the implementation of security initiatives.
Oversee risk management and compliance efforts to ensure the organization meets all relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and report on the progress of security programs, identifying potential risks and mitigating them.
Foster a culture of cyber security awareness within the organization through training and communication efforts.
Coordinate incident response and recovery efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities.
Stay up-to-date with emerging cyber threats and industry trends to inform the company's security posture.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in managing large-scale cyber security programs, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
Experience with risk management, compliance, and security operations.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with cloud security, application security, and threat intelligence.
Experience with cyber security tools and platforms (SIEM, IAM, DLP, etc.).
Background in financial services, banking, or fintech.
