Position

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Manager will manage all accounting functions, including payroll, bookkeeping, strategic reporting, and compliance, ensuring financial integrity and supporting informed decision-making and business performance.

Financial Management duties will include:

• Monthly P&L preparation and review
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Month-end process, including invoicing, reconciliation, and financial close
• Manage the quote process, assessing profitability and ensuring appropriate fee structures

Bookkeeping duties include:

• Manage debtor statements and creditor payment runs
• Cashflow reporting
• Process fortnightly and monthly payroll, including superannuation reconciliation and payments
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, and Workers’ Compensation calculations and FBT reporting

Profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role, and within a consulting, agency, or professional services environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in liaising with senior leadership and external partners.
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Strong financial management and reporting capabilities, including P&L, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Experience with financial compliance and regulatory requirements (BAS, IAS, payroll tax, FBT, superannuation).
• Proficiency in accounting software MYOB or similar, and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
• Knowledge of project-based financial management, including resource allocation and revenue forecasting.
