About the role

Our team is looking for a State Manager based out of our Berrimah (NT) branch to lead a growing team, drive sales, and ensure outstanding customer service. Reporting to the General Manager, the State Manager will oversee all operations, track team performance, coach staff, and provide support where needed.

To succeed in this role, you will have strong sales and customer service experience, thrives under pressure, and pays close attention to detail. Most importantly, you'll foster a positive, customer-first culture while driving business growth.

Key Responsibility

  • Lead and support a small sales team, driving performance, sales growth, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Strengthen customer relationships through proactive service, regular visits, and strategic sales initiatives.
  • Oversee sales operations, warehouse workflows, and stock management to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Streamline processes, optimise workflows, and enhance team efficiency for continuous improvement.
  • Track KPIs, monitor performance, and implement strategies to drive business growth.
  • Conduct sales visits, demonstrations, and proposals to support customer acquisition and retention.
  • Provide hands-on support across operations, stepping in where needed to ensure smooth daily functions.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and align customer service efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine customer service strategies and improve operational effectiveness.

About you

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma or Tertiary Certification in a relevant field, with a strong background in sales, customer service, and operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships, driving satisfaction and business growth.
  • Confident in managing high-pressure, high-volume environments while staying organised and detail-oriented.
  • Expertise in tracking KPIs, optimising team performance, and streamlining processes for efficiency.
  • Experience in sales, account management, and warehouse operations, ideally within an industrial or related sector.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce preferred) and data-driven decision-making.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
