About the Role
As our Senior Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping and supporting the network infrastructure that powers key government operations. In this position, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring that the network is secure, resilient, and agile, enabling smooth communication and collaboration across the Premier's Department, The Cabinet Office, and the Ministers' Offices.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of network technologies, guiding the adoption of emerging solutions and helping to future-proof critical systems. We're Looking For
- Network Security Expertise: In-depth understanding of network security principles, Fortinet platforms, and industry standards (e.g., ACSC, NIST)
- Advanced Networking Skills: Experience with protocols like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and managing multi-site, high-availability networks
- Cloud Networking Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure networking, ExpressRoute, VPN connectivity, and secure remote access solutions
- Project Management & Delivery: Proven track record in leading complex infrastructure and security projects from design to execution
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve network issues promptly, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Collaborative Leadership: Experience working in cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and fostering continuous improvement.
