A busy Orthopaedic Practice based in the Mater Clinic is looking for an experienced Senior Medical Secretary to support A/Prof Justin Roe.

The successful person will become part of a close team who work together to provide care and support for our patients. A/Prof Roe is supported by 2 full time medical secretaries with offices in a busy multi-surgeon orthopaedic practice, North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in the Mater Clinic at North Sydney.

In order to be considered for the role you must have :

• Experience in a fast paced Medical Practice with exposure to making appointments, running a consultation clinic, theatre bookings and invoicing.
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare/Health Funds and Workers Compensation
• Experience with a Medical Software Package
• Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills (including touch typing)
• The role requires a high standard of spoken and written English and the ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail
• You will show excellent people skills relating to both staff and other health care professionals and an ability to show a compassionate attitude towards patients
