Our client is a leading provider of custom trailer and truck body solutions along with other transport equipment. As a result of ongoing and sustained growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to assist their growing team in East Perth.
This is an exciting time to join one of WA's fastest growing organisations that provides high-quality road transport equipment, whilst valuing client productivity and safety.
The Role: This role will see you implementing key improvements to assembly operations to streamline efficiency, routines and other condition improvements. This will include:
- Create and update assembly routines, work instructions, schematics, checklists, commissioning documents and the engineering change process for projects
- Enhance testing and inspection methods in assembly and provide support with appropriate tools and fixtures
- Engage in improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency and whilst eliminating unnecessary production costs
- Liaising with other parties as required including internal administrators, procurement, logistics and external technical consultants
- Participate in development projects, including prototype and design change builds
- Manage part maintenance using internal ERP system
- Conduct risk assessments for new or modified working methods and safeguard components
About You: To be successful in the position, you will require the following:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Structural)
- At least 5 years + experience as an Engineer within Australian Fabrication / Manufacturing sector (previous experience in the manufacturing of truck trailers and/or Capital equipment industries will be highly regarded)
- Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor 3D modelling and AutoCAD 2D experience
- Good interpersonal and report writing skills and proven technical supervision experience in a similar role
- Experience with internal ERP system Epicor or similar is advantageous
