About the Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Town Planner with 3+ years of development assessment experience to join our Development Services Team in Freeling. This role is situated in a unique and rapidly growing rural area that features the internationally renowned Barossa Valley, historic townships, and the Roseworthy Township Expansion. The region is earmarked for significant growth, particularly with the release of the recent Greater Adelaide Regional Plan (GARP), making it an ideal time to make an impact on both minor and large-scale development projects, including land divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing development applications, ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies.

Applying a flexible and innovative approach to development challenges.

Collaborating closely with the community, stakeholders, and the development team.

Contributing to the successful growth of the Roseworthy Township and surrounding areas.

Providing outstanding customer service, with a focus on timely communication and clarity.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: A degree qualified professional with at least 3+ years’ experience or soon to be completed degree.

Skills & Experience:

Strong working knowledge of the Planning and Design Code and Plan SA Portal.

A proven ability to manage development applications and interpret legislation and policy.

A self-driven professional with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to due process.

Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with a team-oriented approach.
