The Town of Claremont is a progressive local government that was established in 1898 for the picturesque riverside suburbs of Claremont and Swanbourne. It is a busy and forward focused local government with dedicated staff who are committed to making a difference at a local level. The Town was recently ranked Number 1 local government from a Community Scorecard, as voted by their community.

The Town is looking for a planner to process various statutory planning proposals, including applications for development, subdivision, and clearances, and relevant appeals. The Town is open to applications from all levels of planners and the salary offered will be commensurate with level of experience. The role is a minimum of 22.8 hours per week (which can be worked flexibly) up to full time

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of statutory Town Planning and will possess the following skills and attributes:

1. A team player who can work within a small team but is also capable of working autonomously.

2. An excellent communicator who is able to provide advice to various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

3. Ability to undertake technical assessments and prepare high quality written reports.
