If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Senior Project Officer Planning and Evaluation.
As the Senior Project Officer Planning and Evaluation, you will:
- Develop and implement a MERI framework tailored to the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board region, ensuring a robust and scientifically sound approach to monitoring and evaluation.
- Coordinate and oversee monitoring programs that are meaningful, scientifically rigorous, and aligned with regional landscape goals.
- Support the development and execution of the Regional Landscape Plan, ensuring that monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement are integral to the region’s strategic objectives.
- Evaluate success criteria and measures that inform regional planning and drive continuous improvement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and alignment across teams and external partners.
- Integrate MERI principles and systems into the project delivery processes of regional staff, helping to improve program outcomes and project effectiveness.
- Promote a safe work environment, taking responsibility for your safety and that of others, identifying hazards, and actively participating in health and safety discussions.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- In-depth knowledge of natural resource management, ideally within the Murraylands and Riverland region, with a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field.
- Expertise in monitoring and evaluation: A strong understanding of current MERI frameworks and practices, especially as they relate to natural resource management.
- Data synthesis and communication: Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex data, presenting it in a clear and accessible way for a range of audiences.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: Ability to identify inconsistencies or discrepancies in information, approach challenges thoughtfully, and discern the best course of action.
- Project management expertise: Experience in developing project plans for complex activities that involve multiple components and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills: Ability to prioritise workload effectively, allocate time efficiently, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, build relationships, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for professional development: Eagerness to build on existing knowledge and stay updated with best practices and trends in monitoring, evaluation, and natural resource management.
Contract:
Contract for up to 3 years.
Remuneration:
CLASSIFICATION ASO5 $85,790 min - $95,413 max p.a.
