Land Specialist's Central Coast office is looking for a full time Town Planner to work with our Director and team of lawyers. We are a team which includes lawyers, town planners, property consultants and admin staff. We are located at the Mariners Centre of Excellence in Tuggerah.

We project manage small developments (duplexes and small subdivisions) to large residential subdivisions ($250M+) and large commercial developments ($500M+) including developments in the tourism and arts sectors, and appear in the Land and Environment Court for planning and property related matters. We also have various litigation matters in the Supreme Court and Local Court.

We strive to maintain a low stress and fun working environment. Hours can be made flexible. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing development applications, including State Significant applications and rezonings.

Conducting property research and assisting with property management tasks

Providing advice on NSW planning legislation, regulations, and policy frameworks in consultation with out in-house lawyers.

Carrying out detailed site assessments and contributing to the master planning and best use assessment.

Presenting at meetings with Council, the Department of Planning and consultants.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or related discipline.

Minimum 5 years experience in Town Planning either in the public or private sector.

Must be able to work independently

Must possess excellent written communication skills.

REAP qualification is favourable but not necessary.

Experience as an expert witness in LEC proceedings would be highly favourable but not necessary.
