About the Role
The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a team of administration officers to provide sector-leading business and customer services to the public and the Darebin Building unit. More specifically, the Team Leader Building Services will:
• Build a high-performing team with a strong culture of collaboration and service excellence.
• Ensure the team provides a positive customer experience.
• Contribute to and identify continuous improvement activities. • Oversee and be responsible for the achievement of statutory processes and timeframes.

Skills & Experience
• Tertiary qualification and/or appropriate experience in business, public administration, building/architecture or other field relevant to work in a local government office.
• Advantageous:
- Experience in the Victorian planning, building or construction sectors.
- Experience in the local government sector.
• Demonstrated, relevant experience including:
- Staff management and co-ordinating administrative and customer service activities within a busy customer focused department.
- Well-developed skills in administrative practices.
- Well developed skills to investigate issues and solve problems.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in the development, use and application of a variety of information technology systems including Pathway, GIS and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to identify and utilise technological solutions to issues to ensure quality service delivery, and provide on the job technology-based training and support to other staff.
- The ability to extract data from systems for the purpose of preparing reports for other government agencies and internal use.
