About Us
We operate Knox General Practice and Family Medicine, and we are excited to be launching a new medical clinic in June. Additionally, we run a small café adjoining the medical clinic. This is a great opportunity for a skilled bookkeeper to work across healthcare and hospitality industries.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time bookkeeper to manage financial operations for our businesses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role includes handling transactions, reconciliations, payroll, and BAS preparation, while working closely with management and external accountants. This role will start with 10–15 hours per week but is expected to grow to approximately three days per week as the businesses expand.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable for multiple businesses.
Perform bank and account reconciliations with precision.
Review reconciliations prepared by internal staff to ensure compliance.
Prepare financial reports and assist with BAS submissions.
Process payroll and superannuation for staff.
Liaise with external accountants to meet tax and compliance requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience (experience in healthcare or hospitality industries is highly regarded).
Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, and payroll processes.
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to manage financial operations for multiple businesses.
A proactive and problem-solving approach to work.
