Are you a passionate chef ready to showcase your skills in a stunning coastal location? Cubana Resort in Nambucca Heads is looking for a talented and motivated Head Chef to join the team on a FULL TIME basis.

Featuring a vibrant Mexican-infused menu and offering a stylish, yet casual dining experience, Cubana Cantina is the perfect backdrop for family and friends to gather while enjoying freshly prepared food and fabulous cocktails

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional meals to our guests, an Immediate start is available for this role for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring a high standard of food quality and presentation.

Hands on role, involves food preparation and catering to all food outlets in the resort, including functions, Bar and Restaurant.

Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a positive and efficient team environment.

Assist in developing creative and seasonal menus, keeping up with food trends and guest preferences.

Maintain strict hygiene standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Control inventory, manage food costs, and ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked appropriately.

Work closely with the management team to deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Work Closely with the management team to handle kitchen scheduling and staff rostering.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or a senior kitchen role.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.

Previous experience in preparing food for events and a'la carte in a hotel environment

A passion for creating high-quality food.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

A strong understanding and experience in Month-end Stocktake, and food cost control.

Ability to work solo and as part of a team under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

A genuine passion for the hospitality industry

NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required for this role.
