About the role

Café TREEO is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our talented team in Sawtell, NSW. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, creating innovative menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This is a full-time role based in our beautiful café located in the heart of Sawtell.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing creative, seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertise

Managing and mentoring a team of passionate chefs and kitchen staff

Maintaining strict quality control and food safety standards

Collaborating with the cafe management team to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and managing food costs

Fostering a positive, energetic, and productive kitchen environment

What we're looking for

Significant experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior role within a busy cafe

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team

Excellent time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail

A commitment to upholding high food safety and quality standards

Strong working knowledge of kitchen equipment, inventory management, and cost control
