Salary range for this role is $80k - 120k + Super. (Depending on experience)

The Role

This role is responsible for enhancing and enabling the delivery of exceptional member experience through embedded learning, improved processes, effective change management, and high-quality service delivery. It takes a whole-of-service approach to identifying gaps, developing and implementing improvement programs, simplifying processes, motivating change, and tracking progress. Additionally, the role assists in driving organisational efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation by analysing structures, systems, and procedures and providing strategic recommendations to enhance business performance.

Travel to other MDA National offices on occasion may be involved in this role.

There is an expectation to attend the office at a minimum of 3 days per week to develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conduct regular analysis to identify gaps in documentation, support resources, knowledge, structures, process adherence, and organisational efficiency.
  • Use continuous improvement and change methodologies to identify business and organisational opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand specific training, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Design, develop, and implement training and proficiency programs to address identified gaps and business process improvements.
  • Develop frameworks, materials, presentations, and documentation to support best practices.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content and process changes.
  • Assisting in implementing approved recommendations, issuing revised instructions and procedure manuals, and drafting other documentation;
  • Lead and facilitate change management efforts across the business, including developing change management strategies and plans for initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders, communicate change effectively, and proactively manage resistance.
  • Monitor and evaluate adoption and success of change initiatives.
  • Prepare and recommend proposals to revise methods, alter workflows, redefine job functions, and support organisational innovation
  • Facilitate in-person and digital training sessions incorporating active learning theories and different learning styles.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness, monitor training progress, and provide ongoing support to staff and managers.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to individuals and teams to build specific capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, map, and optimise business processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies, evaluate operational effectiveness, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recording and analysing organisations’ work flow charts, records, reports, manuals and job descriptions;
  • Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain compliance procedures and documentation in collaboration with underwriting, technology, and risk.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Perform regular audits of teams, systems, and data to ensure compliance and consistent performance.
  • Generate reports and insights on training effectiveness, compliance status, process adherence, and operational improvements.
  • Provide, seek endorsement for, and implement recommendations for improvement based on audit findings
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, compliance documentation, and skills assessments.
  • Ensure all training and organisational change records are up-to-date and easily accessible to support team development and operational alignment.
  • Undertaking and reviewing work studies by analysing existing and proposed methods and procedures such as administrative and clerical procedures;
  • Preparing and recommending proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter work flows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems;
  • Reviewing operating procedures and advising of departures from procedures and standards.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Education, HR, Management) or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in training, process optimisation, compliance, or business analysis.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and teams.
  • Proficiency in training software, business analysis tools, and reporting frameworks preferred.
  • Previous experience within a member-based organisation, particularly in healthcare or insurance, is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of organisational structures, operational workflows, and business strategy.
  • Proficiency in process analysis, optimisation, and business process reengineering.
  • Experience with change management strategies, frameworks, and implementation.
  • Ability to identify business and organisational gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate change management efforts.
  • Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data related to training, process adherence, and organisational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and active learning theory.
  • Creativity in developing engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
