This is a full-time position: 38 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated Human Resources, OHS & Recruitment Manager to oversee 90-100 employees across five locations. This full-time, Monday to Friday role will be crucial in developing and managing the HR strategies of our rapidly expanding business. You'll develop and implement policies, ensure compliance with Australian laws, and provide expert advice to store managers on recruitment, OHS, and HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Procedures: Review, update, and implement HR strategies across five locations to meet the company's needs and comply with Australian employment laws and retail awards.
Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, organizing candidate applications, conducting interviews, and selecting top talent.
Wage Compliance: Update wage increases in compliance with Australian employment laws.
Induction & Onboarding: Design and implement effective induction and onboarding strategies for all new hires.
Employment Negotiations: Lead negotiations for staff contracts, salary reviews, and other employment-related matters.
OHS Management: Manage Occupational Health and Safety policies to ensure a safe working environment across all locations.
Employee Productivity & Turnover: Investigate productivity levels, absenteeism, and turnover, reporting insights to management.
Succession Planning: Implement effective succession planning for outgoing and incoming employees.
Actionable HR Strategies: Translate business objectives into HR strategies and initiatives to support overall company growth.
Requirements:
Expert Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Australian employment laws, HR best practices, and OHS regulations.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
Advisory Experience: Ability to interpret legislation and provide high-quality HR advice to both staff and management.
Education: Undergraduate degree (essential); Degree in Human Resources, Bachelor of Law, or Business Administration (preferred).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a Human Resources role.
