About the role

Manager Parks and Recreation - Casual Full Time role - Temp Contract until December 2025.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and develop teams for effective maintenance and enhancement of parks and recreational spaces.

Develop and implement strategic plans to improve quality, accessibility, and sustainability of public spaces.

Oversee asset management, project delivery, and financial planning in parks and recreation.

Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and safety regulations.

Engage with stakeholders (government agencies, community groups, contractors) to drive collaborative initiatives.

Promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and professionalism within the team.

Provide expert advice on operational improvements and future developments.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

Demonstrated experience in parks and recreation management or a related field.

Strong leadership and business management skills (financial, asset, and project management).

Ability to establish and maintain a positive, professional, and results-driven work environment.

High standards of ethics, integrity, discretion, and professional decision-making.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of industrial relations, workplace health and safety, and equal employment opportunity legislation.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive outcomes and deliver improvements.

Queensland C Class provisional driver's license.

A relevant degree qualification or substantial experience in a similar role.

Benefits of the Role:

Competitive pay: $102.44 - $116.39 per hour (including 25% casual loading).

Accommodation provided for the contract duration.

Travel support at the start and end of the contract, if required.

Full-time hours (72.5 hours per fortnight), Monday - Friday, between 7 AM and 5 PM (some out-of-hours work may be required).
