Public Sector People are working with a local council in Melbourne's west to recruit a Coordinator of Facilities Management for a 3-month temporary contract assignment.

We are looking for a local government experienced individual with a proven track record of successful management of facilities maintenance across a large, multi site, portfolio of infrastructure to join our client on a 3-month contract.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the planning and execution of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective facility management strategies. Working within an established policy environment, you will lead a team to deliver renewal projects aligned with long-term asset management and climate adaptation goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and reviewing strategies to ensure attractive, safe, and functional community facilities.
• Initiating and managing work plans based on long-term facility management goals.
• Overseeing a team of project managers, ensuring projects meet KPIs and budget expectations.
• Providing advice and facilitating consultation with stakeholders including Council, developers, and the community.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, essential services, and internal design standards.
• Leading staff through coaching, performance development, and change management.
• Driving continuous improvement in quality, safety, and environmental standards.
