Established over 20 years ago, and now employing over thirty staff across Australia, this company design, manufacture, install and maintain Commercial Glass and associated Façade structures – in collaboration with Design Consultants and Tier One / Tier two Commercial Construction Management companies such as Lend Lease / Multiplex / AW Edwards / Meriton’s / John Hollands / CPB etc.

Their products and services can be found on many landmark structures across Australia such as.

1. The Optus Stadium in Perth + The Newly built Sydney Football stadium.
2. Structural domed Glass Roofing skylights in Stockland’s / Scentre / Westfield Shopping Centres (Australia wide), multiple high rise commercial and residential buildings / Hospitals etc in Sydney / Brisbane / Melbourne etc (too many to mention)
3. Curtain walling at the new Western Sydney Airport,
4. Glazing structures associated with the Metro stations around the Northwest Rail link project.

Due to continued growth a position has become available for an experienced Design Manager who had a proven history of innovation and collaboration to deliver successful outcomes for all parties in projects such as the above. - from inception right through to completion.

Based in modern offices (remarkably close to public transport) in Sydney’s’ inner southwest (EG Zetland / Alexandria /Green Square area) and reporting to the Technical Director / R&D Manager the person we are looking for will have:

1. At least ten years’ experience in Design and Project Delivery of Façade /Curtain Wall Systems for Commercial Structures.
2. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to get on with people as you will be dealing with clients and internal staff.
4. A degree in Structural Engineering / Architecture or similar would be highly regarded.
5. Experience in 3D Design software essential – EG Rhino / Revit etc.
6. Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
7. Ability to challenge conventional design methodologies – and demonstrate “alternative Solutions’ to complex engineering scenarios.
8. Ability to mentor and motivate less experienced staff members – you will be seen as an approachable leader and an expert in your field.
