The Project
A joint venture between leading construction and infrastructure companies has been selected by the government to deliver stage 1 of a major motorway project in Sydney.

Stage 1 of the project will connect the southern suburbs of Sydney to the broader motorway network, improving journey times, reducing congestion, and alleviating truck traffic from local streets.

The scope of the project includes the construction of an underground motorway connection, mainline tunnels, exit/entry ramps, shared cycle and pedestrian pathways, and provisions for future stages (subject to obtaining the relevant planning approvals).

The Role

• Senior Health & Safety Advisor - Night Shift
• 6-month contract with the potential for extension/permanent employment
• Start ASAP
• Monday night to Friday night/Saturday morning
• 6pm to 4am (10 hours), must be open to overtime
• Up to $100 p/h + Super

Requirements

• Developing Safe Work Method Statements (SWIMS) and safe work instructions
• Keeping up with relevant legislation and industry standards
• Managing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) systems
• Investigating incidents and conducting site inspections

As the sole safety professional on site, you will be responsible for ensuring contractors comply with safety standards. You will report directly to the Safety Director but will not have direct reports under this role.

We are looking for someone who can enforce safety standards while also building strong relationships with the contracts team. There is potential for this role to become permanent, though no guarantees can be made at this stage.
