VEGA HSE is currently working with a global tech firm who are looking to appoint a site based HSE consultant for a large data centre build in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs.

Reporting directly to the senior project manager you will be expected to manage and advise the client and contractor on all safety issues related to the project. You will be expected to liaise with all staff and sub contractors on site. When required you will conduct progress meetings, produce reports and ultimately influence the safety culture.

Along with regular floor walks and staff interaction you will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analysis investigations. You will also be responsible for daily site inductions.

To apply for this role you must have a minimum qualification of cert IV OR a diploma in workplace health and safety and have relevant experience in a construction environment. Those with experience on data centres are encouraged to apply.

This is an initial 8 week contract role however if proven a valuable member of the team then further work will be offered on 2 more sites (also in East Melbourne). A competitive daily rate will be awarded to the successful candidate.
