Fetch Recruitment are seeking an experienced Lab Manager with experience in soils and concrete that will report into the GM.

Our clients is well established and respected in the industry and have an opening for someone to step into a Lab Manager role with a growing team and establish themselves within the company.

About the role:

• Day to day management of the lab
• Managing financial results (working with and to a budget)
• Identifying leads, submitting proposals, tendering out on work, growing and maintaining positive relationships with current clients
• Lead, train and mentor staff members to ensure they get the best out of them and keep growing the great workplace culture
• Manage compliance, quality management and continuous improvement, ensure all test are performed in accordance with NATA standards
• Overseeing the performance of the lab with quality and safety
• Keep building on the high performing team currently working

Experience Required:

• Over 3 years experience in a similar role - preferred
• Field and lab constructions materials testing to relevant Australian standards
• NATA Signatory with a high level of competence and understanding of AS. standards and knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
• Commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety
• Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks or deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other required systems (LIMS)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Must have a valid drivers licence
• Recent contactable references
• Diploma in Laboratory Techniques is advantageous
• Can work effectively under pressure, prioritising work to meet client demands
