ole Overview:

Our client, a leader in agricultural technology, is seeking an R&D Operations Manager to oversee all research operations and drive the strategic alignment of their cutting-edge plant tissue culture platforms. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in R&D operations, lab management, and cross-functional team leadership within biotech or life sciences. The role involves close collaboration with research teams, ensuring timely project execution, and maintaining clear communication with senior management. You will be the key point of contact between the CEO and the research teams, providing insights and solutions to operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead & direct research streams (plant science, microbiology) to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

· Oversee lab resource management & space allocation, optimising efficiency & project success.

· Track project milestones, manage timelines, and proactively resolve operational bottlenecks.

· Foster cross-team communication and ensure alignment on objectives.

· Provide detailed progress reports and performance metrics to the CEO.

· Collaborate with the Lab Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth lab operations and resource allocation.

· Identify and implement continuous improvements in research processes and practices.

· Serve as the main point of contact for troubleshooting operational issues, ensuring swift resolution.

Skills & Experience:

· 5+ years in R&D operations or lab management in biotech, pharma, or life sciences.

· Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.

· Proven ability to solve problems and optimise processes within research environments.

· Background in biotechnology, microbiology, plant science, or related fields.

· Data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment of research with company goals.

· Expertise in project management, risk mitigation, and ensuring operational efficiency.

· Familiarity with laboratory equipment, systems, and research technologies.

· Ability to manage complex projects with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
