We are looking for a strategic leader to join the Financial Services Branch as Director, Procurement.
You will develop and implement procurement strategies that align with government policies and best practices while ensuring value-for-money outcomes. You will also provide expert advice to senior leadership and lead a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and frameworks.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice on procurement governance, risk management, and negotiations.
- Oversee reports, submissions, and ministerial correspondence on procurement matters.
- Lead and develop the Procurement team, ensuring integrity, transparency, and ethical decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement and align procurement with the department's strategic goals.
You will bring:
- Proven leadership in complex procurement and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy and frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A track record of driving organisational change and procurement best practices.
- A solutions-focused mindset, ensuring ethical and transparent decision-making.
