Role Overview:

RocketDNA is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Project Coordinator (Mining) to join our growing operations team in Perth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, acting as a key liaison between our valued customers and our operations team, overseeing exciting projects involving the deployment, operation, and integration of remotely piloted drone systems in mining environments.

This full-time position is based at RocketDNA’s vibrant offices in Osborne Park, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage the deployment and operation of RocketDNA’s xBot® remote drone systems for mining customers, serving as the primary point of contact between customers and the operations team.

Work closely with customers to identify their data capture requirements and create efficient workflows, incorporating automated data processing and analysis supported by our software partners.

Oversee logistics related to deployment, commissioning, and maintenance of xBot® systems and associated infrastructure.

Participate actively in risk assessments, safety meetings and development & review of safety procedures.

Collaborate closely with Remote (Flight) Operations teams for mission planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Provide feedback to software development teams to facilitate product enhancements, address issues, and improve workflow automation.

Required Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in mining operations, with a solid understanding of operational practices and environments.

Proven expertise in mine surveying, particularly involving drones and photogrammetry processing.

Excellent project management and organisational capabilities.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various organisational levels.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, necessary for interacting effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Experience conducting risk assessments and managing safety processes in mining environments.

Competency in drone operations, including mission planning and photogrammetry processing for surveying applications.

Proficiency with CAD and/or GIS software.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with automation processes and workflow optimisation.

Previous experience in coordinating or managing projects.
