Business Development Manager – Rail & Infrastructure

Location: Victoria, New South Wales, or Queensland

We are a leading provider of specialist rail plant and workforce solutions, supporting major rail and infrastructure projects across Australia. With a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and industry expertise, we work closely with Tier 1 contractors and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new opportunities and expand our presence in the rail and construction sector. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of industry procurement, tenders, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the rail and infrastructure sectors.

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets.

Lead the preparation of tenders, bids, and proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, contractors, and industry partners.

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

About You:

Minimum five years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the rail industry.

Proven track record in identifying and securing business opportunities, with a strong understanding of tenders and procurement.

Established network within Tier 1 rail projects or major rail infrastructure projects.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

A natural ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and industry partners.
