About the Role:
We are a leading Australian supermarket chain seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Coordinator. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to coordinate and implement monthly promotions, market research as well as assist in sales data analysis, product category breakdown, and report generation for marketing insights.
You will also collaborate with store supervisors to monitor product stock levels and purchasing status, review sales performance, and help formulate the most effective marketing content and strategies for target products.
Our product range primarily consists of grocery items imported from various Asian countries, and you will play a key role in liaising with Asian suppliers, supporting negotiation and coordination throughout the supply chain.
In addition, you will oversee the member loyalty program, including the planning and execution of member-focused activities, and conducting sales performance reviews to evaluate campaign success.
Key Responsibilities:
l Work with the General Manager to compile and analyse sales data, categorise product lines, advise on pricing and product bundles, and plan and execute monthly promotional activities and marketing campaigns such as “New Month, New Deals” and “Payday Perks” to drive sales growth.
l Collaborate with Store Supervisors to track incoming stock, monitor inventory levels, assess sales performance, and develop product-specific marketing strategies to boost under-performance products
l Promotional campaigns may include seasonal member-exclusive offers such as Lunar New Year gift bundle discounts, Mid-Autumn Festival tasting events, or grand opening specials featuring popular Asian grocery items.
l Develop and manage member loyalty activities, analyse member purchasing patterns and campaign results
l Liaise with Asian grocery suppliers to support promotional activities and maintain effective supply chain communication
l Coordinate promotional assets and liaise with internal teams and external agencies
l Conduct market research such as competitor analysis, product research and seasonal trends to identify opportunities and guide promotional strategy
l Monitor campaign performance and produce actionable insights
l Conduct in-store events, store openings promotion, and major seasonal promotions
Key Requirements:
l Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, product or brand management.
l Strong experience in campaign coordination and promotional planning
l Ability to analyse large sets of sales and member data, and interpret key trends
l Experience working with ERP systems and backend management tools
l Strong understanding of Asian grocery products and supplier engagement or willing to learn
l Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is highly regarded
l Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
l Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects
l Willingness to work occasional weekends for campaign execution and events
l Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, data analysis tools, and content planning
