About the role
The Lead Projects, Curriculum Implementation drives the coordination and monitoring of complex curriculum reform and Curriculum Implementation projects and ensures compliance with established governance requirements. The position provides expert operational support to directorates within the Curriculum Division. The Lead Projects, Curriculum Implementation leads project teams in the application of best practice in project management and collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure effective high-quality delivery of the Curriculum program of work.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing syllabus and policy projects to ensure compliance with established project management and governance protocols.
- Completing Workstream, Executive and Board level reporting as per the reporting schedule and prepare data to support informed decision making when requested.
- Establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships through effective communication, expert advice, negotiation, and issues management, working effectively with a range of NESA units and branches to progress syllabus and policy projects.
- Monitoring and reporting on timelines and milestones in relation to syllabus and policy projects, Directorate project plans and NESA operational plans.
- Monitoring project implementation, including risk and quality measures, to address issues, assess project progress and achieve project outcomes.
- Identifying and manage interdependencies within and between policy and operational projects.
Our ideal candidate will hold:
- A qualification in project management.
- Experience delivering large scale government projects.
- Demonstrated project deliverables from complex long-term projects.
