Elevate Organisational Impact with Strategic Project Oversight

Are you an experienced project leader ready to shape how an organisation delivers on its strategy? Meli is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Lead to oversee our Project Management Office and ensure all project activity is strategically aligned, well-governed, and driving meaningful impact. This is a critical role responsible for implementing and refining Meli’s project management framework, leading project governance reporting, and managing our project portfolio tools.

You’ll collaborate closely with Executive leaders, provide high-level reporting to the Board, and play a key role in translating strategy into actionable delivery. About the Role

As Project Management Office Lead, you will:

  • Support the delivery and ongoing development of Meli’s project management framework, driving consistency across all projects and teams.
  • Oversee strategic alignment by supporting the implementation of Meli’s roadmap and tracking progress towards business outcomes.
  • Provide monthly project portfolio reporting for the Executive and Board, ensuring clear visibility of risks, progress, and strategic impact.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimisation of Meli’s Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, including Planner and Project Plan 5, providing support and training across the organisation.
  • Build project management capability across teams by delivering training, tools, and frameworks to sponsors, managers, and project teams.

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • A degree in Project Management, IT or a related field, or extensive experience leading PMOs or complex projects.
  • An understanding of project governance, frameworks, and methodologies, with a strong ability to lead project delivery across multiple portfolios.
  • Experience overseeing organisational reporting, including executive and board-level dashboards.
  • Proficiency in PPM tools, including Microsoft Planner and Project Plan 5, and the ability to support others in their use.
  • Strong leadership, change management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to embed frameworks, train others, and drive cultural shift around delivery.
