Senior SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling Specialist

The position is working with a large Government Agency in Canberra responsible for the government’s ongoing priorities through the Budget process and fosters leading practice through the public sector resource management, governance and accountability frameworks.

About the role
The department requires a Senior SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) Specialist to provide ongoing Business as Usual and project support as well as maintenance and enhancement of the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Platform (Services).

Duties

• Design and implementation of SAP FICO solutions within the SDO SAP application landscape
• Support FICO Team technical activities
• Resolve production incidents – FICO related, including helpdesk tickets
• Develop and/or contribute to client Statements of Work
• Detailed transactional information to internal and external auditors as required
• Guidance on technical feasibility and appropriateness of changes or proposed new solutions

Skills & experience

• A minimum of five years of SAP FICO experience
• Expert knowledge of multiple areas of the ECC6.0 FI module, in particular Public Sector Funds Management, Asset Management and Project Accounting
• Master Data Management skills, including the ability to implement Cost Centre and Profit Centre changes to support Organisational Restructures
• Experience with implementing and supporting Foreign Currency Payment Processing
• Experience with the use and configuration of SAP LSMW tool; Uploads/Processing
