Talent International is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant (Financial Control) | Grade 9/10 to work for a NSW Government client based in Parramatta. This position is a 6-month contract with the view to be extended and is paying between $600 to $700/day + Super.

Hours of Work - 8 hrs per day/40 hrs per week

Senior Financial Accountant with 4+ yrs. experience. CA / CPA qualified or equivalent (preferable).

Key focus areas:

• Driving NSW Treasury's CFO Certification process
• Completing other mandatory NSW Treasury compliance activities
• Collaborating on the review of capitalisation policy, procedures and practices

Comfortable analysing and summarising internal control questionnaire responses and following up with business owners, and report preparation. Provision of support for review of asset capitalisation policy, and procedures and provide expert technical accounting input. Supporting other ad-hoc Financial Controlling activities if required.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or finance discipline and eligibility for membership of a recognised professional association or demonstrated relevant and successful workplace experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
