Position
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will manage a team of two.The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the College, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and providing financial insights to support effective governance. This role involves managing internal controls, budget preparation, audits, tax compliance, payroll services, grant management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving financial processes.

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Accountant, preferably in a education setting.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
• CPA or CA membership (or working towards certification).
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Experience with financial management software, preferably TASS or similar ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Benefits
Onsite position. 6 month contract with the view to extension. $55 an hour + super
