Uspace is Australia's first private mental health service, targeted to the needs of young adults aged 16 to 30.
Within a purpose-built mental health facility with 20 single rooms, day services and on-site consulting suites, our mission is to promote the recovery and psychological wellbeing of young adults with severe and emerging mental health problems.
The role of the Practice Coordinator is to provide a comprehensive range of administrative duties and the care of patients and families at the clinic and day program is provided in a person centred manner. The Practice Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day running of the private practice and provide administrative support to Clinicians & Allied Health Staff within the practice and day program. scope of practice of the Practice Coordinator and by adhering to policies and procedures of SVPHS and St Vincent's Health Australia (SVHA). The Practice Coordinator will report directly into the Nurse Unit Manager for USpace (Practice Manager).

- Ensure all services are patient centred and the patients and carers experience is smooth, professional and efficient and aligns to our mission and values
- Be the first point of contact both in person and on the phone call for all patient referrals, appointments and enquires, doing so in a professional manner demonstrating exceptional communication etiquette and accountability.
- Represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times.
About you
- Two years plus experience in medical reception/secretarial roles with thorough understanding of medical terminology.
- High-level IT skills and computer literacy, interfacing and integration of IT software and services, data management and MS Office applications, including practical knowledge of a medical software package Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all ages and backgrounds.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise and organise, with attention to detail, under pressure.
