Administration Worker/Support Coordination Assistant

Our Administration Worker/Support Coordination Assistant provides advanced administration support to the team. Training will be also be provided in working with participants to manage and better understand their NDIS plans, navigate and coordinate connections to informal, mainstream, and community supports, and facilitate innovative progress towards achieving their goals. On completion of initial training the role will be responsible for providing high-quality, NDIS funded, Capacity Building Services.

Key duties will include:

  • Greet all visitors, ensuring they sign in and out
  • Respond to incoming calls, service enquiries, and call distribution
  • Participate in intake to receive referrals and assess requests for TFC Disability Services
  • Respond to service enquiries and complete both general and complex administration tasks
  • Manage onboarding workflow including assessment and documentation of participant needs
  • Support participant NDIS plan implementation, monitoring, and review
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community organisations
  • Provide participant ongoing support and follow-up to ensure the effectiveness of services
  • Build strong relationships with participants, their families and external service providers
  • Co-operate and collaborate with other TFC staff and service providers to ensure co-ordinated service delivery
  • Update participant support plans and complete NDIS participant reports

Required for this role:

  • High level of administration experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for establishing effective working relationships and ongoing rapport in the community.
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management skills and the capacity to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases.
  • A Current NDIS Worker Screen, Police Check and Working with Children Check, or able and willing to obtain.
  • Rights to work in Australia

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience working within the community sector supporting people with disability, complex needs, and mental health challenges
  • An understanding of relevant legislation, NDIS Code of Conduct, and the range of community and mainstream services that may be required for participants
  • Qualifications in Community Services, Counselling, Mental Health and/or Disability Supports.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Tertiary qualifications in Administration or Business are an advantage
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office or reception role
  • Advanced IT skills & proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
  • Sound organisation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in supporting referral processes to community and mainstream services
  • Current driver’s license and comprehensively insured vehicle
