Are you a dynamic sales and business development leader with a passion for sustainable materials? Our client is seeking a sales and business development manager to drive growth and expand market presence in sustainable products across commercial and retail sectors. This role is full-time, based in Botany with convenient on-street parking.
The Role:
We’re seeking an experienced sales and business development manager to lead our dedicated team in Sydney and Perth, expand brand visibility, and drive growth across Australia. This role is perfect for a results-driven leader who excels at team building, client relationships, and strategic sales management in a sustainability-focused industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Growth – Lead, coach, and drive the team to exceed sales targets, balancing B2B and B2C expansion. Develop and execute strategies aligned with business values and goals.
Business Development & Key Accounts – Identify new market opportunities, tailor solutions for the Architecture, Construction, and Design industries, and manage high-profile sales accounts independently or alongside sales representatives.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration – Play a key role in management meetings, contribute to commercial strategy, and work closely with the CEO and Marketing Manager on lead generation and e-commerce initiatives.
Team Development & Performance – Assess team performance, conduct reviews, and provide coaching to enhance results. Identify training needs and ensure continuous professional development.
Market Insights & Reporting – Stay informed on industry trends, oversee CRM data (Zoho), prepare sales reports for the MD, and analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Budget & Resource Management – Oversee the sales budget, monitor spending, and optimize resource allocation for maximum impact.
Industry Engagement – Represent the company at industry events and conferences to expand networks and drive business opportunities.
Skills & Experience Required:
Sales Success – 5+ years in Architecture, Construction, Design, or related industries.
Leadership – 3+ years of experience leading and coaching high-performing teams.
Client Relationships – Skilled at building and maintaining relationships in fast-paced environments.
Strategic Planning – Expertise in identifying growth opportunities and developing data-driven strategies.
Sales & Negotiation – Proven ability to close deals and drive revenue.
Networking & Development – Established connections in commercial and residential sectors.
Lead Generation – Experience in building and managing a strong sales pipeline.
Communication – Strong written/verbal skills, proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Australian work rights.
Based in Botany, this is an on-site role.
