Specialist Medical Receptionist

Permanent Part Time - 2 Days per week

Great opportunity to work close to home for private specialist practice in Heidelberg with parking provided. Our client seeks an experienced Specialist Medical Receptionist, 2 days per week with the possibility of a third day (Thursdays and another to be confirmed). The ability to cover extra days when needed is required. Approximate hours: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm depending on the day.

This professional group of specialist physicians provides patients with the highest level of expertise in a supportive and caring environment. Being involved with the front of house, the successful applicant will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to assist patients and doctors promptly and courteously. Efficient time management is a must in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Reception duties

Meet & greet patients upon arrival

Answering phones, emails, faxes, mail, scanning

Verifying Medicare/health insurance details

Completing patient invoicing and Medicare claims

Booking patient appointments

Obtaining results & maintaining accurate patient records

Other duties as required

Use of Genie software on Apple Mac

Essential Criteria:

Highly organised

Computer literate

Able to work independently & part of a team.

Knowledge of Genie on Apple Mac

Previous medical rooms experience essential
