Collections Officer

Location: Footscray or Sunbury
Pay Rate: $45-$50 per hour
Contract Term: 3 months with potential of extension, 38 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Collections Officer to join our team for a 3 month contract, focusing on commercial (business customer) collections. This role offers a hybrid work option after successful completion of training and demonstrated competency.

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage debt collection for commercial customers through various communication channels.
-Engage with customers to negotiate and resolve outstanding debts based on portfolio allocation.
-Maintain accurate records and manage customer interactions using CRM systems.
-Provide timely and professional customer service to resolve collection issues.

Skills & Experience:
-Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial (business) collections.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and CRM software.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience with Oracle or similar systems (desirable).
-Background in water utilities, public sector, or regulated industries (preferred).
-Experience in banking or finance with a focus on collections (highly desirable).
