About the Role:

This is a hands-on role in a high-volume kitchen where you’ll lead from the pass and help deliver up to 120 covers per service—with every plate reflecting quality and consistency. We take pride in being a cut above standard pub fare.

You'll work in a calm, capable, and well-organised environment where we look after each other and focus on delivering a great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food across grill, fryer, and seafood sections

Assist with menu planning, food costing, and prep schedules

Ensure food meets our high standards for quality and presentation

Train and supervise kitchen staff in food prep and hygiene

Maintain stock levels and manage kitchen inventory

Collaborate with management on menu development and specials

Work alongside front-of-house staff for smooth and timely service

Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a chef in a busy kitchen

Formal Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III or higher)

Strong experience on the grill and fryer, with confidence cooking seafood

Calm, organised, and focused under pressure

Ability to lead and support a small kitchen team

Hands-on, positive attitude with strong communication skills

Full Australian working rights
