Weβre seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and outgoing individual with a positive energy and a can-do attitude to join our finance team and play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly across multiple locations.
π About the Role:
As our Payroll & Bookkeeping Officer, youβll report directly to the Finance Administrator and owners and take ownership of key financial processes. This role offers the best of both worlds: a supportive team environment and the autonomy to manage your responsibilities across a flexible schedule.
π§Ύ Key Responsibilities:
Payroll (Fortnightly):
End-to-end processing and responsibility of payroll for approximately 300 staff
Handling superannuation, leave, deductions, and payroll reporting
Self-checking your work before processing for mistakes and errors.
Bookkeeping:
End-to-end bookkeeping for 3 Restaurants and payroll.
Managing accounts payable and receivable for the three restaurants.
Bank reconciliations and journal entries.
Preparing financial reports and assisting with month-end processes
π€ Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with restaurant managers to collect and clarify payroll and bookkeeping information
Communicate effectively to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Maintain strong professional relationships across departments
πΌ What You Bring:
Proven experience in payroll processing (medium to large employee base preferred)
Strong bookkeeping background with multi-location or multi-entity experience
High capacity for accurate data entry and excellent attention to detail
Strong memory for detail and ability to manage multiple streams of information
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar)
A self-starter with great time management and organisational abilities
π Work Schedule:
Monday: Work from our City location, on-site parking provided.
Tuesday β Thursday: Based at our St Kilda Rd office, on-site parking provided. We plan to move to the Bayside Brighton area in the coming 12-24 months.
Friday: Work from home if possible.
Total: 38 hours per week across 5 days or 30 Hours across 4 or 5 days.
